DRUM | The Origin

在未有正式工作室之前，我們僅憑著「要做一隻軍鼓」的念頭，在教室的洗手間裡搭起一張活動工作枱。沒有專業設備，沒有寬敞空間，但那份親手打造出第一個作品的決心，讓我們克服了一切限制。
從那張簡陋的工作枱開始，我們一步步走向真正的工藝之路——專注、踏實，始終記得最初那隻軍鼓。
首次嘗試的失敗是必然的，隨後是無數次的嘗試與修正。正是這些早期的挫敗，讓我們看見了「造鼓」背後的無限可能，並逐步建立起屬於我們的製作系統。
Before we ever had a proper workshop, our journey began with a simple thought: "We need to build a snare drum."
We set up a makeshift workbench in the washroom of our studio. We didn't have professional equipment or a spacious room to work in, but the desire to craft our very first piece by hand was simply bigger than the space we had.
From that humble setup, we took our first real steps into the craft—learning to stay focused, keep our heads down, and always remember the spirit of that very first snare.
As you might expect, our first attempt failed. And so did the next few. But what followed were countless rounds of trial, error, and quiet refinements. Looking back, those early frustrations were exactly what we needed. They opened our eyes to the endless possibilities in drum-making, and slowly shaped the design and production system we rely on today.

教學與研發成為了我們的日常。我們將教學空間與木工坊合而為一，讓每一個學生提出的難題，都成為研發室裡的下一個研究課題。
「造鼓」不只是體力勞作，而是一場對音色、木材與反饋的深度學習。當客製訂單從圖紙化為實物，每隻鼓都記錄了我們在感官世界的一段探索旅程。
Teaching and R&D have simply become our daily routine. By bringing our teaching space and woodworking shop under one roof, every hurdle a student faces becomes the next case study for our lab.
Twenty years in the sawdust has taught us that building drums is far more than physical labor; it is a deep discipline of resonance, materials, and tactile feedback. When a custom order goes from a sketch to a finished piece, that drum becomes a physical record of our ongoing exploration of the senses.

當我們為另一位鼓手創作時，這已超越了單純的製造，而是一次深刻的對話。透過設計，我們以工藝反應鼓手的想法，試圖連結鼓手、木材與聲音之間那份不可取代的情感聯繫。
We design to make sensory feedback intuitive. To us, design is simply the tool we use to pull the sound in our heads into the real world.
When we build for another drummer, it goes far beyond just assembling parts—it becomes a quiet dialogue. Through our craft, we physically reflect a drummer's ideas, bridging that irreplaceable connection between the player, the wood, and the sound.
